The Office on Smoking and Health is a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A health information referral service sponsored by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. NHIC puts health professionals and consumers who have health questions in touch with those organizations that are best able to provide answers. Using a database that contains descriptions of health-related organizations, NHIC staff refer people to the most appropriate resource. Spanish language information specialists are available.
